Leon Tsoukernik wins the King’s 100K Short Deck Super High Roller by defeating Phil Ivey in heads-up
Tsoukernik entered the final day of the King’s High Roller Event with the highest chipcount of 2,228,000 and seven players remaining. However, at the beginning of heads-up play with Ivey, Tsoukernik was behind by over 6 million chips. Later, he managed to double-up and continued to improve his stack and eventually became the massive chip leader.
In the final hand, Tsoukernik moved all-in with K♥ K♠ after the flop of K♦ 8♦ 7♥, Ivey snap-called with K♣ J♦. The final board ran out K♥ 8♦ 7♥ A♣ A♠ and Tsoukernik busted Ivey with a full house.
Leon dreamed to play heads-up with Phil and his dream came true last night.
“When we started to play on the Final Table, I came up to Phil Ivey and said that my dream is to play heads-up with you. Doesn’t matter if I win or you win, just the dream would come true”.
